ABOUT

She was leaning against a table in the high school gym laughing with friends. Her bright eyes and smile reflected the joy of being sixteen and carefree. They called her Twiggy. The nickname suited her thin figure, pixie bob, and mini skirt. To me, though, she was even prettier than the iconic supermodel. When I was a little girl I studied this image of my mom hovered over her yearbook for hours. It made a lasting impression on me and is one of the first memories of my natural tendency to study people, gesture, and emotion.

For as long as I can remember, I have loved to get lost in an image and daydream about that moment in time. However, I didn’t set out to become a wedding and portrait photographer.

I studied for a Bachelor of Arts degree in Advertising Photography at one of the top schools in the nation. Upon graduation, I became a photography assistant working in the catalog and advertising industry. Within a few years, I began producing large commercial shoots, but eventually I began to miss being behind the camera. I felt a tug at my heart to photograph love. So, I followed that voice and soon realized there was no turning back.

Today, I capture genuine, joyful, life changing, unapologetic moments. I believe in the power of commitment, of the Providence that takes place when two hearts choose one another, and how that legacy impacts our communities and families. I bring calm, deliberate, artful documentation of your celebration that is editorial and timeless. I’m madly obsessed with what I do and feel a sense of grace in being able to serve my clients with heirloom quality prints and albums of memories that will be cherished for generations.

There’s a deep satisfaction in wondering, will your daughter linger over the images I take of you someday?

I was born and raised in New England but made the San Francisco bay area home for over twenty years. Recently, my husband and I relocated to Richmond, Virginia. We traveled slowly across the country with our two kitties in our RV amidst the pandemic. We have a little apartment in my husband’s home region of Emilia Romagna in northern Italy as well and travel back and forth frequently while taking every opportunity to explore new places along the way. I’m grateful to live out my passion of capturing destination weddings and portraits and hope for the opportunity to meet you whether it be in your hometown or your favorite far away place.

My photographs have been published in Style Me Pretty, Magnolia Rouge, Wedding Chicks, Utterly Engaged, Vogue Bambini, and Elle Sposa.
